For those of you who were interested in my Contour catwalk post, I have a few more professional images that I have taken from the trend prediction website, WGSN and I really wanted to share them x
Wow, I love your collection! Seriously, the bodysuit with the should fringe is so awesome. I have been following your tumblr for a little while, but I only just realized you had a blog– I’ve really enjoyed your posts. I just read your first post and it really hit home to me. I just finished a degree at Yale in English Lit and have started working in PR, but I feel like lingerie might be where my real passion lies. But it’s hard to be one of those people who doesn’t know what they want from go! Anyways, the best of luck to you :).
Thank you so much! Took so much out of me getting this collection finished and continuing to work at the same time, I felt so stressed and fed up with it all! But now I’m on the other side of deadline it was one of the best things I’ve ever done, want to do it again to be honest!
I never knew what I wanted from life until I found out about Contour, I felt like I was always doing what people expected of me and what was considered a ‘proper degree’ but I was just miserable, never woke up feeling excited about the day it was always just ‘oh right lets get today done then’ But if you feel like lingerie is your real passion but don’t want to go back to study it you can always teach yourself, there are some really good books I can recommend if you like and it’s a case of trial and error really! Just get doodling and on a sewing machine and you’ll be away!
Love your tumblr by the way, been following you for such a long time now and It’s a favourite of mine!
Lovely hearing from you xx
I understand exactly what you’re talking about re: expectations. I would love to get your book recommendations! That would be so excellent. I’m so glad you like my blog– it’s coming up on its 1st birthday :). If you email me at firstname.lastname@example.org it would probably be easier. I actually have been thinking about maybe taking a course– it would be a ton of work (~3 years), but it IS in NYC where I already live which is convenient. However it is extremely hard to get into, which is a bit of a negative :/.
